About Us
Chicken Farmers of New Brunswick is a nonprofit organization that was established in the mid 1960s. Our goal is to ensure that farmers produce the right amount of fresh, safe, high-quality chicken to meet consumer needs and that our farmer’s views are taken into account when important agriculture and policy decisions are made.
Currently, 36 producers in New Brunswick hold quota to produce meat birds for commercial sale. These producers are located mainly in the Moncton and Saint-Francois-de-Madawaska areas. Five of these producers sit on our board. Three come from the Madawaska area while the other two come from the southern part of the province.
